Frederic Robinson


Frederic Robinson uses spatial and interactive audio to create immersive listening environments.

As a Scientia PhD Candidate at the UNSW Creative Robotics Lab and Interactive Media Lab, he investigates the potential of spatial sonic interaction design to create trust, affinity and companionship in human-robot interaction.

Prior to that he worked at Swiss company Idee und Klang, where he designed, realised and managed interactive multi-channel compositions and soundscapes for ambitious media installations, exhibitions, and brand facilities across the globe, combining his passion for composition, sound design, and interactive audio installations.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Audiodesign from the Electronic Studio Basel with a focus on acousmatic composition, free improvisation and digital musical instrument design.
